Notes on the discoveries within Maisondeportes (WIP)
There are some various happenings that Rei has been aware of, and needs to keep an eye on. As in canon, she's been keeping notes on things that have been occurring within the house. And for all of them, they are in their sections, which are expanded on as they occur.
Items
Paper Crane
A gift freely given to Rei in return for the stories told to Danielle on the night of games. She's used it to gather people for a meeting, to call for help, and request specifically for those she wishes to meet. The crane can fly any room that is open-but it cannot go to where the Phantasms are.
Radio
Used to contact Agent Harris in the Gardeners Wing. They spoke for a time; however, Rei was stumbling around blindfolded, and did not see the equipment in question. She has been told that the radio has been used to deceive 'guests' before.
The Mirrors
Very little is known. The pigtailed girl, which she calls Queen, warned her not to touch the mirrors for any reason. Lyhn confirmed this, and further advised to stay away from them altogether if possible.
Crafted Firefly
A creature crafted from metal and light, one was given to her as a gift upon becoming a student of Lyhn's. It frequently hides in her clothes and hair, and seemingly lives off of affection. It creates a deadzone around her body in a space of three feet. Sensitives of any nature are unable to gather information with their other senses. It also warns her at times of possible danger by warming up.
Butterfly in a jar
Found in the Stalker Room. The butterfly is not just a butterfly; it is a memory of a man stalking a girl as she walks with friends. She showed it to Laura, and after speaking with one of the Unnatural Servants, she deemed it too much of a danger to keep around. She gave it to the Servant in the third house in exchange for a week's worth of food.
Pocket watch
An unexpected gift found in her pocket. She does not know who the gifter was, or why it was given . It is possible it was given so it could act as a key, or a summons for her to go into the fog beyond the greenhouse.
Knife
Given with a note, the knife has been given so she could defend herself against flesh monsters. She does not know who gave it to her.
Photographs
Having found the proper materials and a dark room, Rei has developed a few photographs. Mainly they are of the fight of the Lady in White, but there is one of the wallcrawlers on the ceiling in the first house, one of Lyhn and his pole, another of the piano in the first house parlor, with Lock and Giotto in the background. More will be taken in the future.
Camera Obscura
The camera she used to repel and exercise ghosts in the Manor of Sleep. Brought with her to the House, it has had different reactions to various rooms and items-as it has been stated this is a house of spirit, not of wood and stone. Overexposure in rare cases can lead to insanity and suicide.
The rope
Found a lone rope at the hanging tree, amongst the long dead bodies. She was tempted to cut it down, but due to Jamie's and Eplisons intervention, did not do so.
Ghosts
Art Enthusiast
The ghost form of Don Marks. Attempted to break her neck once, has been seen controlled and semi lucid since. Danielle claims him as her "Artist". His body is broken, especially his hands. Possible he died via torture then throwing down the stairs.
Lady in White
She lures victims in by giving the illusion that their loved one is there, bringing them close before biting their necks, bleeding them to death. It has come to Rei's attention that when the Lady in White attacks, she creates a bond with the victim, at least temporarily.
The Doctor "Robert"
Has a clinic in the basement. Along with an assortment of nurses, they can take care of the injured and experiment on the healthy. If one doesn't resist, the procedure is done with medication, as well as painkillers. She learned his name is Robert by Giotto.
The Burning Man
Seen mostly in his passive form, she is aware that he may belong to Danielle. She also knows that he is capable of burning people to death by touch, if not scarring them.
Drowned Woman
Seen in a play. Looked desperate and bewildered.
The Writer
She was with Grant at the time of the meeting. She never spoke, but seemed to encourage Rei's being there. She may have been the one to ensure that Grant did not become hostile.
Perfume Woman
Seen in passive as a singer, as well as in a more deadly form for a brief amount of time. It is unknown whether these two would get along or not.
Grant
Also known as the photographer's ghost. He is or was Lock's guardian, and works with a camera. He is untrusting as a general rule, and mostly disinterested in people. But for now, he seems to have extended some wary trust with Rei.
Blond child
Unknown. Appeared on the piano bench with the Perfume Ghost when Rei broke the protection on the safe room.
Surgery Ghost
Saw in the basement. She wasn't able to talk to him at all, but was able to offer some sympathy and horror for his plight.
Monsters
Wall crawlers
Feral Deer
Hellhounds
Leeches
Nurses
Sirens
The Rats
People
"Hope"
"The Artful Bastard"
Also known as Art, also known as the Wax man. He is clearly damaged physically, as well as emotionally. She tries to look out for him when she can, free with physical affection and words.
"Carver"
A well built man who seems to have a protective streak. May or may not have a military background. Though they aren't exactly the best of friends, they got along in a gruff, odd way.
"Queen"
A little pigtailed girl that is clearly a fan of royalty. May or may not have been the doll that Danielle tends to carry around. Rei promised to be a friend of hers, even as Queen warned Rei about the mirrors.
Agent Sam Harris
Spoken to over the radio. Unknown as to why she was warning people, but is still someone Rei could respect.
Lock
A child born to the house. Has the power to open doors-which may mean more then what it sounds on the surface. She has promised to protect his secret, and to look out for him. His feelings about her...are not exactly hostile, but not exactly friends either.
Don Marks
One of the first people she met in the house. Through pain and trouble, she discovered what he was. He doesn't speak often of his life before; he has confessed to having an open marriage with his pansexual wife, along with children. He is an artist and someone to emotionally rely on during times of trouble. Though she is tempted to have a carnal relationship and more, she is aware he enjoys being free, so remains friends with him. She has also been made aware that he is used to spy on the house guests, if not just herself.
Bondage Wax Man
Kept in a glass box in the Velvet room, he has been bound and is scantily clad by his master's bidding. He teases. A lot.
Unknown
Cetus
The builder; Cetus is a being of pure light that does not seem to have a gender. He is the closest to god she has ever experienced. They were lucky to leave alive and intact. He caused the cursed tattoo to retreat, as well as make her dream of her life when she sleeps.
Danielle
One of the more dangerous overt Powers in the house. Also known as Little Miss, or the Mistress of the house. She has claim to creatures and ghosts within the house, and uses them at will. She likes to play games, hurt people for angering her, or turn them into puppies. Rei gets along with her, if only because of Rei's policy to treat her with respect and backbone. The Power made it obvious in her first meeting that she wants Rei, along with others within the house, offering various things in return for having a child-or surrendering herself to Danielle. Danielle has called her Storyteller; she isn't sure she likes what it means.
Orion
The carriage driver in the fog. Teacher of Mukuro. What he says seems puzzling at times; but he is a Power nonetheless, for all he is a personable one. He claims it is his job to lead people back from being lost in the fog. Rei likes him at the moment, as he seems to help in clarifying things in more then one way.
Unnatural Servants
She has a feeling they were human once. Having animal heads and human bodies, they seem to serve the house-and twitched when questioned if they served Danielle or the Builder. She is uncertain on if their presence is hostile or not in nature, but they do seem to be directed to clean and cook quite a bit.
"The Voice"
Only heard once while in a safe room with Mukuro. It sounded male. It scolded them once, then left. Both her and Mukuro were baffled by the intrusion.
Lyhn
A man cloaked in white, and holder of the lantern. Rei has agreed to be his student, along with Sam Winchester and perhaps Daemon Spade. What he does is to protect others from the darkness, and provide light for those in need. He was human once, and serves as an avatar-his boss, his master is currently unknown. He seems clever and caring. Among other instructions, she has been told to blend in, so as to not get anymore attention for now.
The Phantasms
Never personally met, but has heard of them spoken by by various people within the House, often with fear. She has seen them in various times during her dreams. They are known to experiment on people in the house, but have yet to kill, if only directly. They cannot be touched if they do not wish to, and they seem to be feared and/or loathed by Danielle. The Phantasms have a claim on Lock; it is unknown if it applies to other native children of the house.
The bartender
He appeared during the separation event. He listens with a kind ear, and is willing to give out material items. Information or otherwise, not so much.
Pyxis
A baby in a wicker basket, and companion of Orion. It is unknown as to what role she plays.
Sirius
What looks like a horse, but is Orion's companion in the fog. He hauls the carriages for the lost in the fog.
